Updating a true Danish Design classic!
Kay Bojesens wooden monkey is one of the most famous icons of Danish design – and giving him a new home and graphic design expression was an honour 🐵
It was so much fun doing this rebrand – because I had to dig deep into the history of the renowned designer and furniture maker Kay Bojesen – one of the most known figures in Danish design. His playful wooden figurines are known and loved all over the World, and taking on the design of the packaging was truly a daunting task.
The team at Make in Copenhagen truly made the perfect design update! I did e.g. the art direction for the visual expression, the photography and accessories – and I drew the illustrations by hand for the rebrand. Not doing a lot of classic DTP these days, I got my hands dirty and made all the technical drawings for the packaging, too 📐
